Biography
Dr Abhay Kumar Choubey is Associate Professor of Chemistry at Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology, Jais, Amethi, India. He received his Ph.D. Degree in Chemistry-Applied Chemistry from Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) and earned his postdoctoral in Petroleum Engineering area from Indian Institute of Technology (ISM) Dhanbad, India and University of Kansas, USA respectively. Dr. Choubey has worked as Assistant Professor, Petrochemistry in the University of Petroleum & Energy Studies, Dehradun for four years. He is having 14 years of teaching and research experience. Dr. Choubey is a member, technical committee of Bureau of Indian Standard and is in the editorial board of two international journals of Petroleum Engineering. His areas of expertise include Organic synthesis, Petrochemistry, Bio-fuel, Hydrogen fuel, Water shut-off, EOR/IOR, etc. He has completed research projects, reviewed research papers, evaluated a mega project of one of the pioneer academic institutions of India and guided several undergraduate major projects and postgraduate dissertations. Currently he is guiding two Ph. D. students. Dr. Choubey is having several research publications and is the author of a book chapter on hydrogen fuel published from USA and a book on organic synthesis from Germany.
