Biography
Professor Dr. Bassim H. Hameed received his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Salford, UK, in 1992. He is a professor at the School of Chemical Engineering, University of Science Malaysia. He leads the Reaction Engineering & Adsorption (READ) research group. He has also been appointed as a Guest Professor at Yunan Minzu University, China for the period of 2014—2017. His research interest is in Reaction Engineering and Adsorption Technology, especially issues related to Energy and Environment. Professor Bassim has been included by Thomson Reuters in their prestigious list of Highly Cited Researchers 2016, 2015 & 2014. Professor Bassim has been also listed in Thomson Reuters’s “The World’s Most Influential Scientific Minds 2015 & 2014â€. He has successfully supervised the works of 5 postdoctoral fellows, 14 Ph.D., 28 MSc students, and more than 70 final-year research projects to completion. He has achieved a milestone of 18 research grants as a principal investigator. To date, he has published more than 225 articles in ISI-indexed journals. He has also published 100 articles in other international and national journals and proceedings. Professor Bassim’s publications have been cited over 14,975 times (Scopus database), and 41 of these articles were cited more than 100 times each. He has an author h-index of 65, and an i10-index of 175.
